Privacy
Who is responsible
Controller under the GDPR: Mikhail Sivashinskiy, Sachtlebenstr. 43c, 14165 Berlin, Germany (see the Impressum).
Visiting the site
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes your IP address and request data to deliver pages and protect against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. No advertising or social-media trackers are used.
Buying access
Access to the report and planner is sold through Stripe Managed Payments (shown at checkout as Link), our reseller and merchant of record. Stripe collects your name, email, billing and payment details to process the sale, receipt and VAT (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR) under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details (name, email, product, amount, country, and the campaign that brought you to the site) to provide access and support.
The access cookie
When you enter your licence key we set one cookie, fs_access, that keeps you signed in on that browser. It holds your licence key and a signature and is strictly necessary for the service you bought (§ 25(2) TDDDG), so no consent banner is needed. The key is stored with your purchase at Stripe, and once a week it is checked there so cancelled or refunded licences lose access.
Hotel snapshots
If you order a snapshot, we receive the hotel and town you entered and your email address through the order form, delivered to us via Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We use them only to invoice you, prepare the snapshot and send it to you by email (via Google Gmail, Google Ireland Ltd.), and keep the order record as long as tax law requires.
Deep-dive requests
If you use the deep-dive form, we receive your name, email, hotel, town, room count and message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The message is delivered to us through Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc.) and kept only as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting order.
Maps in the report
The report's map loads map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which receives your IP address when you open that page.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to the address in the Impressum. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
